IMI Names New Chief Brand and Marcomms Officer

International Media Investments (IMI), a privately owned media investment group in the region, has made two key appointments to its executive management team, as per an emailed press release to Inc Arabia.

Rania Masri El Khatib has been named Chief Brand and Marcomms Officer, while Sharif Badreddine will assume the role of Chief Revenue Officer.
Both appointments will see them reporting directly to Rani R. Raad, the Group’s Chief Executive Officer.
El Khatib brings over two decades of expertise in the brand and marketing industries to the role.
Prior to joining IMI, she served as the Chief Transformation Officer at Chalhoub Group, the Middle East’s largest luxury retail organization.
She will help IMI in shaping brand strategy, overseeing marketing, communications, and creative functions with the vision of establishing meaningful connections with audiences in today's fast-paced and information-rich world.
Accompanying Rania in the leadership lineup is Sharif Badreddine, who will assume the role of Chief Revenue Officer.
With a remarkable career spanning over two and a half decades in the media and advertising industry, Sharif, formerly the Group Director of Commercial at MBC Group, is recognized for his visionary leadership and strategic innovation.
In his new role at IMI, Sharif will lead the commercial team, driving product innovation and revenue growth through a holistic, multi-platform approach focused on alternative revenue streams.
IMI’s current portfolio of brands includes The National, CNN Business Arabic, and Al-Ain News, with vested interests in Sky News Arabia and Euronews.
