The AI Academy, the Abu Dhabi-based executive education hub, has opened applications for the second cohort of its executive program for chief artificial intelligence officers, which is set to run from April 10–22, 2026, at the Abu Dhabi School of Management (ADSM).

The program targets C-suite leaders, innovation advisors, and transformation executives from public and private organizations who are positioned to shape artificial intelligence (AI) strategy, deepen strategic impact, accelerate digital transformation, and emerge as recognized AI leaders.

Following the achievements of its first edition, this year's program, developed in collaboration with Dubai-based AI company Polynome Group and ADSM aims to attract experienced leaders seeking to drive artificial intelligence transformation at organizational and national scales.

The initiative follows the successful completion of the inaugural cohort, which certified 35 senior executives representing government, defense, energy, healthcare, technology, and national infrastructure sectors from the UAE, GCC, and other regions globally.

In a statement, Alexander Khanin, founder of Polynome Group, said, "The success of the first cohort shows just how important structured, executive-level AI leadership programs are. As AI becomes central to competitiveness and performance, these leaders are now equipped to turn potential into real, responsible impact."

ADSM Chairman Dr. Tayeb A. Kamali added, "This program reflects our commitment to nurturing leaders who can bridge advanced technology with sound governance and strategic decision-making. The achievements of the inaugural cohort confirm the value of executive education that truly meets national and regional priorities.”

The program's new cohort will deliver an intensive curriculum combining masterclasses, workshops, and hands-on exercises addressing responsible AI governance, regulatory compliance, fiscal implications, and enterprise-scale AI implementation. The program spans 10 comprehensive modules covering critical topics including the strategic role of the chief AI officer, AI fundamentals, data and AI systems design, AI technologies (generative AI, agentic systems, and multimodal models), AI infrastructure and sovereign AI solutions, AI project management, responsible AI governance and security, building high-performing AI teams, and crafting winning AI strategies.

The program also includes executive sessions featuring strategic dialogues with AI industry leaders, case labs, focused workshops, site visits, capstone projects, and leadership networking opportunities with peers and policymakers shaping the region's AI ecosystem. For instance, graduates from the first cohort completed six substantial capstone initiatives tackling critical issues in AI governance, healthcare sustainability, and energy resilience. The learning experience was enhanced through field visits to ADNOC, Core42, Khazna Data Centers, and the UAE Cybersecurity Council, providing direct exposure to the nation's AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity capabilities.

Applications are currently open for the program until March 29, 2026, with early bird applications set to close on February 15, 2026. Interested executives can learn more and submit their applications here
