TDF Celebrates First Cohort of Grow Accelerator Program
The event, which included a demo day and exhibition, brought together investment pioneers, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and key tourism stakeholders.
The Tourism Development Fund (TDF), Saudi Arabia’s national enabler of the tourism sector, marked the graduation of the first cohort of its "TDF Grow Accelerator" program at the KAFD Conference Centre in Riyadh. The event, which included a demo day and exhibition, brought together investment pioneers, entrepreneurs, media representatives, and key tourism stakeholders.[1]
The TDF Grow Accelerator Program aims to support entrepreneurs in the tourism sector by providing assistance to create innovative solutions, facilitate investor connections, and contribute to achieving Saudi Arabia's national tourism goals in line with the kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The program featured over 20 training and guidance sessions, with 15 projects participating—11 local startups and four regional and international ones. These startups have attracted over SAR 18 million ($5 million) in investments.
During the ceremony, TDF’s CEO, Qusai Al-Fakhri, spoke about the program's role in supporting innovation and sustainable development in Saudi Arabia’s tourism sector. Prince Saud Bin Mohammed, Executive Director of TDF Grow, delivered a speech on behalf of the CEO, noting the achievements of the participating startups.
The ceremony concluded with a presentation of the tourism projects developed through the program.
