Organon, Flat6Labs Launch 2nd Women's Health Accelerator
For those interested in participating in the second edition of the Women's Health Accelerator Program, applications are open until May 16th.
Organon, a global advocate for women's health, has teamed up with Flat6Labs, a venture capital firm in the MENA region, to launch the second edition of their Women's Health Accelerator Program. This initiative is designed to support digital health startups aiming to enhance women's health across the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey (MENAT).[1]
Building on the success of its first edition, which saw the recognition of three outstanding female-led digital health startups, including the UAE-based Maternally, the program seeks to tackle specific health challenges faced by women in the region, fostering sustainable solutions.
Beyond providing exposure to key stakeholders in the healthcare sector, the accelerator program will feature community events such as specialized training sessions and seminars. These events aim to facilitate the exchange of ideas and experiences in both commercial and technical aspects, equipping startups with the knowledge and skills needed to expand their businesses.
The program's core focus areas include family planning, fertility planning with a focus on in vitro fertilization's (IVF) mental health support and counseling, and innovations benefiting women's wellness, particularly in self and maternal care, disease prevention, and menstrual health.
For those interested in participating in the second edition of the Women's Health Accelerator Program, applications are open until May 16th. Eligible countries include the UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia.
Through engagement with a range of stakeholders and the acceleration of 15 businesses' growth, the program hopes to graduate companies that are prepared to take on the challenges facing women's health. The initiative will also incorporate offline and online community activities, including roadshows, webinars, pitchathons, and information sessions, to bolster outreach, scouting, and selection efforts.
