Al Madinah Ventures has announced the launch of the Al Madinah Angels initiative to support the entrepreneurial landscape in Saudi Arabia’s second holy city, Al Madinah Al Munawarrah.

The initiative, established through a collaboration between Value Makers Studio (VMS), AlMadinah AlMunawarah Chamber, and Numu Angels, aims to connect investors with startups while providing them with partnerships, mentorship, and business support.

It will also create business opportunities in Al Madinah Al Munawarrah by helping founders develop their ideas into viable ventures, contributing to the region’s economic growth.

The pre-launch event, held at Al Madinah Chamber, brought together investors, founders, and business leaders to introduce angel investing to the region and build a community supporting early-stage startups. Al Madinah Angels is set to officially launch on June 1, 2025.

At the event, five startups — Halala Plus, Zaghareed Delights, Rodud, Iqrarak, Bouk, and Faseelh — pitched their ideas to potential investors.

In a statement, Motaz Abuonq, founder of VMS, said, "This is more than just a network — it’s a starting point for real change in Al Madinah. There’s incredible potential here, and this initiative is about creating space for that potential to grow. It’s about connecting ideas with the people who can help bring them to life."

Eng. Fahad Almansour, founder of Numu Angels, said, "At Numu Angels, our vision is to build a thriving ecosystem where angel investors and startups grow together. This network is more than just funding; it's about providing strategic guidance, access to valuable networks, and the mentorship that founders need to navigate the early, often challenging stages of their journey. By connecting entrepreneurs with experienced investors, we're creating a platform where innovative ideas can transform into impactful businesses that contribute to the economic growth of Al Madinah and beyond."

Dr. Ghassan Bin Reda Khalifa, secretary general of Al Madinah Chamber, shared his excitement about how this initiative will impact local entrepreneurs. "With the support of Al Madinah Chamber, this network marks a significant milestone for Al Madinah. It’s dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs by providing access to essential resources — whether it’s funding, mentorship, or meaningful connections that can help drive their business growth."

Led by VMS, in collaboration with the Economic Development Centre and the Madinah Chamber of Commerce, and under the patronage of HH Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al Madinah Region, Al Madinah Ventures, a $10 million investment fund, was launched in Saudi Arabia in December 2024, to enhance entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment in the city of Al Madinah.
