SparkLabs Launches Startup Accelerator AIM-X in KSA
AIM-X is set to commence operations on September 17th, 2024.
SparkLabs Group, a global early-stage venture capital firm, has launched AIM-X, an artificial intelligence (AI) startup accelerator under Saudi Arabia's Artificial Intelligence Mission (AI.M) initiative. AIM-X is launched in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology's National Technology Development Program (NTDP), King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), and the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA).[1]
AI.M is backed by initial funding worth $266 million. Its goals include developing Saudi-specific AI models, nurturing AI talent, and fostering AI-native solutions for industry and government.
AIM-X, set to commence operations on September 17th, 2024, is now inviting applications from early-stage AI startups, offering a $200,000 investment in exchange for up to 6% equity.
