At C0P28: Climatetech for Change Investor Conference
Angel Rising Annual Investor Education Symposium, which will be held at COP28, will be themed “ClimateTech for Change.”
The Eight Annual Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium, themed “ClimateTech for Change,” will take place between the fifth and seventh of December at COP28 in the UAE. Organized by Abu Dhabi’s Tamkeen-powered startup accelerator startAD as well as MENA-based VC VentureSouq, the Symposium will look at the role of climatetech startups in developing solutions that can promote sustainability while achieving economic growth.
The Symposium will host three education sessions on climatetech for investors, covering areas like how the UAE can build a climate-resilient economy and the role of climatetech startups; trends and investment priorities for early-stage climatetech startups; and a spotlight of local and global experts in climatetech.
Angel Rising targets GCC-based family offices, VCs, angel investors, institutional investors, corporate and government investors. This year’s edition of Angel Rising is sponsored by the US Mission to the UAE and The Catalyst – a joint venture between Masdar City and BP – which aims to support and invest in cleantech startups addressing climate change.
A report published by MAGNiTT this week showed that climatetech investment is on the rise in the region.
