Sultan Al Jaber Named in Inaugural TIME100 Climate List

Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and COP28 President-Designate has been named in the inaugural TIME 100 Climate list [1] released on Thursday, November 16th.
The TIME 100 Climate list aims to highlight the individuals making significant progress in fighting climate change by creating business value.
As CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, Dr. Al Jaber, who also featured in The Middle East’s Sustainability Leaders list [2] released by Forbes in October, is the first CEO to serve as a president for the Conference of the Parties (COP). He is also co-founder of renewable-energy company Masdar.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai celebrated Dr. Al Jaber with a tweet on his official account on X.

Dr. Al Jaber is the only Arab personality on the inaugural list that includes top global names like Bill Gates, John Kerry, Fatih Birol, Ajay Banga, musician Billie Eilish, content creator MrBeast, film director James Cameron, and musical band Coldplay.
