KSA and India Ink Green Energy Agreement at Climate Week

 India and Saudi Arabia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that signifies a shift towards dependable, cost-effective, and eco-friendly energy solutions during MENA Climate Week in Riyadh this week. 

Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy, R. K. Singh, made this significant announcement during the event, marking a crucial milestone in the fight against climate change and the pursuit of a sustainable energy future.

The MoU inked between India and Saudi Arabia encompasses several areas, including electrical interconnections, green hydrogen, and supply chain collaboration. This strategic agreement lays the foundation for cooperative projects and the establishment of resilient supply chains, fostering stronger ties between the two nations in the realm of green energy.

MENA Climate Week 2023, hosted by Saudi Arabia, has convened diverse stakeholders to deliberate on climate solutions and actions, setting the stage for COP28. Key topics under discussion include the Global Stocktake and the economic and energy security facets embedded within the framework of the Paris Agreement.
