Abu Dhabi sets the stage for the 16th World Future Energy Summit (WFES), hosted by Masdar, with a call for global collaboration towards limiting the rise in average global temperatures to 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels.

Amidst Gulf rains serving as a poignant reminder of the urgency of climate action, leaders convene at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from April 16th to 18th.

Her Highness Sheikha Shamma bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, President and CEO of the UAE Independent Climate Change Accelerators (UICCA), lauds the recent launch of the collaborative Roadmap to 1.5°C by the COP Presidencies Troika, comprising the UAE and the upcoming COP hosts, Azerbaijan and Brazil.

This global gathering convenes visionaries, policymakers, and industry leaders to chart a course toward a more sustainable future.
