UAE-based traveltech Tumodo has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s fintech Tabby to enhance the growth of UAE’s travel industry.[1]
This collaboration will see Tumodo integrate its services into Tabby’s travel management system, thus helping Tabby’s HR team plan and manage business trips.
Tumodo is a B2B travel platform that was founded in 2022 by Vladimir Kokorin. It assists businesses in organizing their business travel, resulting in an average 35% reduction in travel-related expenses.
In January, Tumodo wrapped up $35 million in a pre-seed investment round from angel investors.
The funding injection was aimed at enhancing Tumodo's presence within the UAE, fueling the creation of new products, and exploring partnership opportunities.
Tumodo’s platform boasts partnerships with more than 400 airlines worldwide and an extensive range of over 2 million accommodation options for its customers.
Hosam Arab launched the buy now, pay later (BNPL) fintech company Tabby in the UAE in 2019. The company has over $6 billion in annualized transaction volume.
Tabby, previously headquartered in Dubai, and now based in Riyadh, raised $200 million in its Series D funding round last year, achieving a valuation of $1.5 billion.
This is coming less than a year after Tabby’s $58 million Series C round led by Sequoia Capital India and STV, both of whom participated in this recent unicorn round.
