Digital DEWA, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (PJSC), has joined Inc. Arabia’s Best in Business Awards as the event’s official technology partner. The awards recognize and celebrate businesses that contribute to the economic growth and development of the GCC and North Africa while making a significant social impact in the process.

The awards are a global recognition of regional companies that are best in their class across more than 31 categories, highlighting outstanding achievements, innovation, and impactful social contributions.

The awards will showcase the best practices, exemplary leadership, and groundbreaking initiatives that are shaping the future of the region.

Digital DEWA plays a leading role in the adoption of digital technologies through its deployment of world-class ICT resources to propel Dubai 10 years ahead of other global cities. It is the first digital utility to use autonomous systems across its four pillars: renewable energy, solar energy, energy storage, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital services.

“As a visionary organization and trendsetter in utilizing autonomous systems for renewable energy, storage, AI adoption, and the provision of digital services, Digital DEWA is the ideal technology partner for the Best in Business Awards,” said Anas Abbar, CEO of 7awi Media Group.

“The awards are an opportunity to showcase the region’s top talents and those businesses and individuals who are giving back as much as they are gaining from business,” he added.

A hand-picked jury of inspiring leaders and disrupters will select the winners of the Best in Business Awards.

The judges for this year’s Best in Business Awards include:

  • Ramy Jallad, Group CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ)
  • Ebtisam Abdulaziz Alwehaibi, general manager at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture
  • Said Murad, senior partner at Global Ventures
  • Amrita Sethi, founder and first NFT Artist in the UAE.

The winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony in Dubai on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
