This collaboration will see the integration of Microsoft's generative AI technology into Vodafone's operations.

Vodafone, a leader in managed IoT connectivity, will benefit from the capabilities of Microsoft, as the two companies join forces to develop innovative digital and financial services tailored for businesses, with a particular emphasis on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) across Europe and Africa.

Additionally, a comprehensive overhaul of Vodafone's global data center cloud strategy is on the horizon.

The strategic partnership involves a substantial financial commitment, with Vodafone pledging to invest $1.5 billion over the next decade in cloud services and customer-focused AI, developed in collaboration with Microsoft.

Moreover, Microsoft will leverage Vodafone's fixed and mobile connectivity services to enhance its offerings.

Notably, Microsoft's investment will extend to Vodafone's managed IoT connectivity platform, slated to become a standalone business by April 2024.

This move is anticipated to attract new partners and customers, fostering growth in applications and expanding the platform to connect an even larger array of devices, vehicles, and machines.
