Dubai AI Assembly Kicks Off Today
The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI on 11 &12; October Brings the Latest AI Developments
HE Younus Al Nasser, CEO of Dubai Data & Statistics Establishment at Digital Dubai, took the platform, asking an intriguing question: "What is the world's number one concern while using AI? Is it the privacy of personal data?"
Privacy, the future abilities of Artificial General Intelligence, can AI replace humans, and how to get the best results by getting the right AI-Generated tools to talk to each other, were among many topics dicussed today at the Assembly.
The agenda of the Assembly, organized by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), includes more than 20 main sessions and keynote speeches, and over 25 private sessions featuring the participation of more than 70 speakers from major technology companies, government entities, and international organizations.
In his keynote speech, Ali Hosseini, Chief Digital Officer at, PwC, talked about the limitations of AI tools & the level of education that humans must have to be able to use them right.
The opening session's panelists showcased how Gen AI tools help them get projects done in one prompt, making it clear that these tools don't deliver the final product; however, it is a great starting point.
"We were founded on the mission of a PC on every desk and in every home. We were founded on an analog area. Fast-forward to where we are today, AI has taken over." Ali Dalloul, Vice President, Azure AI, Microsoft announced at the beginning of his keynote speech at the Assembly.
"49% of people were scared that AI would take over their jobs. However, after clarifying the true role of AI, 70% of these people wanted AI to be included in their job," said Ali Dalloul on the first day of AI assembly.
He also introduced Copilot and how it is integrated into Microsoft 365 in two ways. It works alongside you, embedded in the Microsoft 365 apps you use every day — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more — to unleash creativity and unlock productivity and uplevel skills.
Adeogba from Microsoft Corporation delivered a message in Arabic although her native language is US English. An AI tool recreated her voice and delivered the speech in another language. How will this revolutionize communication in the future and not replace humans; rather, when humans use AI tools, they differentiate themselves in the market.
The assembly continues today and tomorrow at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers in Dubai under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation.
