This initiative, overseen by the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), aligns with the goals of the recently launched Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI). It seeks to equip teachers with the needed knowledge to nurture a new generation of learners capable of leveraging technological advancements, including AI.
The top ten teachers who demonstrate the most innovative approaches to integrating AI technologies to improve educational outcomes will be awarded a total of AED 1 million ($272,256) at the next AI Retreat on April 29, 2025.
Teachers in Dubai will receive top-tier training on using advanced applications and integrating AI tools to automate tasks and personalize learning experiences. The program will include both practical and online training.
The announcement follows Sheikh Hamdan's attendance at the AI Retreat 2024 at the Museum of the Future.
He declared that the AI Retreat will become an annual event in Dubai.
The AI Retreat 2024, under the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), concluded in Dubai on June 11th. The event attracted 2,500 decision-makers, AI experts, and industry leaders, including approximately 50 CEOs from major tech companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Amazon, Oracle, SAP, Nvidia, and Samsung.
During the retreat, Sheikh Hamdan met with the newly appointed 22 Chief AI Officers (CAIOs) of Dubai’s government entities.
