The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has launched the Dubai Customs AI Platform, aimed at boosting innovation and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This platform allows developers to build AI-powered systems and programs.

The platform will improve the commercial and logistics supply chain by utilizing modern technologies for faster and more efficient operations.

The Dubai Customs AI Platform will create job opportunities and support the economic and logistics ecosystem.

It will also act as an incubator for AI companies, facilitating the exchange of ideas and innovations. It aims to attract companies globally, from startups to established entities, creating opportunities for collaboration and developing technical solutions. The platform provides tools and integrated programs that can be linked to existing systems, supporting entities that cannot build AI-powered systems.

In January, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, issued a law establishing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC).

The AIATC is mandated to spearhead the development and execution of policies and strategies in the realms of research, infrastructure, and investments concerning AI and advanced technology in Abu Dhabi.

This aligns with Abu Dhabi's strategy to position itself as a global hub for investments, partnerships, and talent acquisition in the tech sector.
