The Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation (AGF) has introduced Massar Al Ghurair, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered upskilling and job-matching initiative designed to connect Emirati and Arab youth with career opportunities. The program targets individuals aged 18 to 35 and seeks to address the gap between education and employment across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Developed in partnership with generative AI software reskilling company SkyHive by Cornerstone, Massar Al Ghurair provides learners with a customized skill-building experience. Participants can create skill profiles through the program’s platform at Massar Al Ghurair, which offers recommendations for upskilling based on individual skill gaps and career interests.

The program aims to support 45,000 learners, 50 employers, and 20 training providers in the UAE and the region. Learners can access career guidance, connect with training providers, and track their progress toward meeting career objectives.

Employers benefit by posting job openings and using labor market insights to align recruitment with changing skill demands. This helps create a talent pipeline and improves job accessibility for Arab youth in various sectors.

In a statement, Sonia Ben Jaafar, CEO of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, said: “Massar Al Ghurair will play a critical role in ensuring young people are equipped for the workforce of the future. This program advances Emiratization goals in the UAE by offering tailored support to help Emiratis build successful careers and contribute to the nation's development. We will also expand it to the Arab region, ensuring youth, including marginalized and refugee populations, gain access to meaningful career opportunities.”

Sean Hinton, founder of SkyHive by Cornerstone, said, “The Fourth Industrial Revolution is changing skills rapidly and on a global scale. New research shows that while demand for digital and AI skills is skyrocketing, the need for human skills like collaboration and communication is even greater. The Skill Passport platform behind Massar Al Ghurair allows learners and workers to stay relevant in this fast-changing environment, giving them the tools to thrive.”
