du, part of Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), has launched a new workshop series at the DIFC Innovation Hub aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the UAE.[1]
The inaugural session, titled "AI Advantage Series: The Future of Entrepreneurship," explored the effects of AI on the business landscape. Targeted at small and medium enterprises in Dubai, the workshop highlighted how AI can enhance business strategies, branding, and market analysis.
The program is structured around three main pillars: marketing, operations, and finance. In the Marketing segment, participants engaged with AI-driven digital engagement strategies, including content creation for social media, marketing tools, and targeted email campaigns. Industry leaders like DigitalFirst and Webidoo led the discussions, offering insights into marketing techniques.
The focus on operational efficiency included learning about AI chatbots in customer service, market research, and workflow automation. Experts shared practical applications of AI that can improve operations.
In the Finance section, workshops aimed to enhance financial skills through AI-driven forecasting, payment solutions, and accounting practices. Professionals discussed the role of AI in financial planning and management.
The du AI Advantage Series offers startups a range of support, including workspace solutions, mentorship, networking, and financial services, designed to prepare business leaders for today’s market.
DIFC anticipates a record number of businesses to establish themselves in the Middle East's economic hub, drawing in major hedge fund players like Millennium Management and asset managers like State Street.
Ian Johnston, CEO of the Dubai Financial Services Authority, revealed in an interview with Bloomberg, "This year is going to be our busiest year ever."
DIFC has over 600 financial services firms and more than 40,000 employees.
In July, the DIFC commenced construction on DIFC Square, a commercial development consisting of three interconnected buildings. This project aims to enhance DIFC’s real estate offerings by providing Grade A offices and retail units.
DIFC Square, featuring three buildings with 8, 10, and 13 floors, is expected to be completed by the first quarter (Q1) of 2026.
