It will provide services across Europe and the region in areas like AI, data analysis, marketing, cloud, cybersecurity, and ERP solutions.
Deloitte, one of the world’s largest professional services firms, inaugurated its Innovation Hub in the Egyptian capital of Cairo in October, with the launch event attended by prominent figures like Egypt Minister of Communications and Information Technology, HE Amr Talaat, Ahmed El Zaher, CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Richard Houston, CEO of Deloitte North and South Europe, Mutasem Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, and Deloitte Innovation Hub leader, Hani Girgis, among others.
The Deloitte Innovation Hub is expected to offer a range of services for clients across Europe and the region in areas like artificial intelligence, data analysis, marketing and commerce, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise resource planning.
With an investment of US$30 million over three years, the hub is aimed at tapping into Egypt’s skilled workforce in fields such as computer science, data engineering, and business information systems to support Deloitte's services in Europe and the Middle East.
In a statement, Talaat emphasized Egypt’s role as an IT services and digital innovation center, noting that the country’s digital exports reached $6.2 billion in 2023. He also reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting skilled jobs for youth and increasing digital exports to drive Egypt’s knowledge-based economy.
Since it began operations in September 2023, the Deloitte Innovation Hub has grown to employ more than 350 Egyptians, including recent graduates and experienced hires. Plans are in place to expand the workforce to 5,000 in the coming years.
