His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, has unveiled the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (AI).[1]

The blueprint outlines a comprehensive yearly plan focused on leveraging AI to enhance quality of life across various sectors.

The plan is designed to create an ecosystem conducive to economic growth, technological utilization, and rapid advancement in AI applications. It prioritizes fostering an environment that attracts global AI talent and companies, supported by infrastructure and favorable regulatory frameworks.

A key aspect of the blueprint involves integrating AI into government  operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and service delivery.

The plan also facilitates the accomplishment of major D33 agenda goals, such as making Dubai one of the top three urban economies globally and doubling economic productivity by 50% via innovation and the use of digital solutions.

Allocating land for data centers is part of the plan's first phase. This will help create an environment that will draw in foreign investment and enable the development of modern infrastructure to support the delivery of solutions that will accelerate Dubai's digital transformation.

Additionally, the plan's first phase involves the establishment of the Dubai Commercial Licence for Artificial Intelligence, which aims to increase investments in the field of AI.

In order to incorporate AI applications into the educational system and improve the caliber of educational outputs, the first phase of the plan also calls for the establishment of AI Week in educational institutions. This also includes teaching school-age and college-aged kids about coding and AI.

Moreover, Dubai plans to open its AI and WEB3 incubator as part of the first phase to create the biggest hub for technology and AI companies. It also hopes to draw in innovators, startups, and leaders in AI from around the world.
