The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence (AI), Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, in collaboration with Google, has launched AI for All, an initiative under the UAE Coding Day event, UAE Codes 2025, that aims to strengthen AI literacy and develop technological capabilities across the country through training programs to be implemented throughout 2026.

The initiative targets individuals of all ages and professional backgrounds, offering courses on the fundamentals of artificial intelligence. It aligns with projections by Public First (2025) that generative AI could add up to AED298 billion (US$81.14 billion) to the UAE’s economy, highlighting the need to prepare the workforce with relevant skills.

HE Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, said that the collaboration with Google reflects the UAE Government’s approach to enabling society to use AI effectively.

In a statement, Anthony Nakache, Managing Director, Google MENA, said, “Our collaboration with the UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office on the "AI for All Initiative" is built on a shared belief—AI's benefits must be accessible to all. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to helping more people to leverage AI and make the most of the technology.”

“By providing students with our most advanced Gemini models, empowering small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with growth tools, and supporting teachers and journalists, we are helping to build a future where every member of the community can participate safely and confidently in the AI economy," Nakache added.

As part of AI for All, educational programs will be introduced to help students, university learners, employees, and content creators use AI responsibly. Participants will receive training on writing prompts for generative AI tools and developing creative skills through AI applications.

The initiative also includes a dedicated series for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), focusing on how to apply AI to improve efficiency and support business growth.

Earlier in October, Google provided university students in the UAE with 12 months of free access to Gemini 2.5, the company’s advanced AI model, as part of the collaboration. The offer includes additional learning tools aimed at supporting continuous skill development.

Throughout 2026, a nationwide campaign will promote awareness and adoption of basic AI skills, encouraging UAE residents to complete foundational AI literacy modules and use Google’s AI tools, including Gemini.

In line with the UAE Government’s Vision 2031 to advance AI adoption, AI for All is part of Google’s MENA AI Opportunity Initiative, which seeks to make AI education, research funding, and technology access available across the region by 2027.
