DIFC’s Mohammad Alblooshi On Dubai's AI Ambitions
“I think from our perspective as DIFC, and I think, from the wider Dubai AI strategy, it's very clear we want to become a world leader."
“There’s a lot of support, and more importantly, there’s a lot of demand.”
That’s how DIFC Innovation Hub CEO Mohammed Alblooshi responded when asked why entrepreneurs working on cutting-edge technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) should look to Dubai as a base for their businesses.
Speaking to Inc. Arabia on the sidelines of this year’s edition of the Dubai AI & Web3 Festival, Alblooshi highlighted the strategic initiatives the Emirate has launched that are aimed at fostering a vibrant AI ecosystem, including the Dubai AI Campus – part of the DIFC Innovation Hub – as well as various other public and private sector efforts.
“I think from our perspective as DIFC, and I think, from the wider Dubai AI strategy, it's very clear we want to become a world leader,” Alblooshi added. “We want to make sure that anyone who thinks AI looks at Dubai, and looks at the Dubai AI Campus.”
