This accrediation signifies acknowledgment of the authority's adoption of suitable standards and practices for AI management, showcasing Saudi Arabia's increasing reputation for excellence in the realms of data and AI.
The authority's advancements and achievements are made possible thanks to ongoing support from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who serves as chairman of its board of directors. This backing allows the organization to establish itself as a national hub for data and AI, overseeing the regulation, development, and implementation of these technologies with effective governance, thereby positioning Saudi Arabia as a frontrunner in the field.
This comes in line with Saudi Arabia vision 2030, where the Kingdom and AI authority (SDAIA) work in-parallel and strive to emerge as a worldwide leader in ethical AI and establish a top-tier AI network involving governmental and private-sector organizations. The alignment between Vision 2030 and AI is clear in the initiative's core principles: society, economy, and national development.
