The report from Deel, as of September 2023, reveals an impressive count of 5,000 active contracts in AI, Data Science, and Software Engineering.
More than 2,100 organizations are actively participating in this dynamic hiring trend, surpassing growth expectations and providing a compelling snapshot of the industry's trajectory.
Key trends highlighted in the report, spanning from September 2021 to September 2023, include a remarkable 60 percent increase in AI, Software Engineering, and Data Science roles paid through Deel organizations in the past year. Additionally, there is a notable 59 percent surge in organizations actively recruiting for AI, Software Engineering, and Data Science roles during the same period.
The US has emerged as the forefront leader in AI hiring, closely trailed by Canada, the UK, and Germany.
Canada takes the lead in AI worker hires, followed by India, Spain, Germany, and the UK.
Salaries exhibit regional variations, with Latin America experiencing the most significant growth in average salaries over the year.
Furthermore, the report identifies India as a frontrunner in generating new AI roles, with positions such as AI Engineer, AI Training Lead, and AI Computer Vision Engineer gaining prominence.
