In a business landscape where most companies are focused on artificial intelligence (AI) as it currently stands, Nucleus AI is a UAE-based startup that is pushing the boundaries toward artificial general intelligence (AGI) and the early foundations of artificial super intelligence (ASI) through groundbreaking advances in memory management, contextual understanding, and reasoning capabilities. According to Nucleus AI co-founder and CEO Raakin Iqbal, what he’s building is the AI infrastructure that will determine whether the MENA region leads or follows in the defining technology of our era. “While others build applications on top of Western infrastructure, we’re building the infrastructure itself,” Iqbal explains. “The contextual intelligence layer we’re creating will become as essential to enterprise AI as cloud computing became to software.”

Iqbal ties this vision directly to the scale now shaping the region’s AI ecosystem. “The tens of billions being invested in the MENA’s AI ecosystem represent an historic opportunity—but only if we build the right infrastructure layer,” he explains. “Right now, most investments flow to application-layer AI: chatbots, automation tools, analytics platforms. These are necessary, but insufficient. What the MENA needs— and what we’re building—is the foundational infrastructure that makes those applications actually work: contextual intelligence that maintains organizational memory, verification systems that ensure compliance, and sovereign architectures that protect data while enabling innovation. Our position at the intersection of advanced research and forward-deployed engineering—backed by entities like NVIDIA, Amazon Web Services, and Dubai Future Foundation—uniquely qualifies us to translate the region’s AI ambitions into operational reality. We’re not asking organizations to adopt experimental technology; we’re deploying production-proven systems with government-validated results.”
