NVIDIA Founder and CEO Jensen Huang emphasized the importance of countries owning the production of their own intelligence. In a fireside chat at the World Governments Summit in Dubai with the UAE’s Minister of AI Omar Al Olama, Huang described sovereign AI as a vast opportunity for global leaders.[1]
"Sovereign AI codifies your culture, your society’s intelligence, your common sense, your history – you own your own data," Huang explained during the conversation, which drew over 4,000 delegates from 150 countries.[2]
Agreeing with Huang's vision, Al Olama stated, "That’s why the UAE is moving aggressively on creating large language models and mobilizing compute."

Huang urged leaders not to let AI intimidate them at the summit by highlighting its capacity to learn local languages and skills.
Responding to a query from Al Olama about AI strategies for developing nations, Huang underscored the importance of infrastructure development, particularly in codifying cultural data into large language models.
During the summit, Moro Hub, a subsidiary of Digital DEWA, announced a partnership with NVIDIA to build a green data center.
