UAE to Establish AI and Advanced Technology Council
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, will assume the role of Chairman of the AIATC.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, has issued a law establishing the Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC).[1]
The AIATC is mandated to spearhead the development and execution of policies and strategies in the realms of research, infrastructure, and investments concerning AI and advanced technology in Abu Dhabi.
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, will assume the role of Chairman of the AIATC, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, will serve as the Vice Chairman.
The AIATC is entrusted with the responsibility of devising comprehensive plans and research programs, leveraging collaborations with both local and global partners, to elevate Abu Dhabi's standing in the domains of artificial intelligence and advanced technology.
This aligns with Abu Dhabi's strategy to position itself as a global hub for investments, partnerships, and talent acquisition in the tech sector.
