Dubai to Host AI Retreat Event Annually
During the retreat, Sheikh Hamdan also met with the newly appointed 22 Chief AI Officers (CAIOs) of Dubai’s government entities.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, has declared that the AI Retreat will become an annual event in Dubai. The next retreat is scheduled for April 29, 2025.

The AI Retreat 2024, under the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence (DUB.AI), concluded in Dubai on June 11th. The event attracted 2,500 decision-makers, AI experts, and industry leaders, including approximately 50 CEOs from major tech companies such as Microsoft, IBM, Google, Amazon, Oracle, SAP, Nvidia, and Samsung.

At the Museum of the Future, the crown prince attended roundtables focusing on funding and finance, computing and digital infrastructure, data regulation and policies, and the talent ecosystem.
During the event, a strategic partnership between du and Oracle was announced to provide advanced AI and data solutions, making du the first local hyperscale cloud provider to offer a comprehensive set of branded cloud services.
In addition, a speech was delivered by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, regarding the new DUB.AI.
Launched on April 29th this year, the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence aims to enhance Dubai’s well-being by adopting AI across all sectors.
