Egypt Celebrates 9 Climate Startup Graduation
This initiative is part of Egypt's international partnership with the UK, aimed at providing £10 million ($12.55 million) in technical assistance to 10 countries to support climate action startups.
Egypt has graduated nine startups under the Climate Finance Accelerator (CFA), as per a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation.[1]
Implemented in collaboration with the British Embassy and Flat6Labs business incubator, this initiative is part of Egypt's international partnership with the UK, aimed at providing £10 million ($12.55 million) in technical assistance to 10 countries to support climate action startups.
Minister of International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat emphasizes the role of these startups in tackling climate change across sectors such as agriculture, energy, transportation, industry, waste management, and gender equality.
Furthermore, the Ministry of International Cooperation, alongside the Ministries of Environment, Communications and Information Technology, launches the "ClimaTech Run" international competition.
This platform seeks to promote innovative climate solutions and environmental protection, leveraging technology and digital art to raise awareness and foster sustainability.
