Egypt-based fintech Swypex announced its launch after securing a $4 million seed investment round spearheaded by venture capital powerhouse Accel.[1]

Swypex, which has received authorization from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE), provides a platform to eliminate financial inefficiencies and unleash the full potential of businesses across the country.
The investment consortium, not limited to Accel, encompasses contributions from Foundation Ventures, The Raba Partnership, and a cohort of angel investors.

Swypex is founded by Ahmad Mokhtar, the ex-director of Software Engineering at Playstation; Tarek Mokhtar, the Product Manager at Spotify; and Sasan Hezarkhani, a Staff Software Engineer at Twitter.
