The UAE has secured its position as the home for 24 billionaires, earning the 22nd spot in the 2024 Hurun Global Rich List.[1]

The 2024 Hurun Global Rich List, which identifies 3,279 billionaires from 73 countries and 2,435 companies, reveals a 5% increase in billionaire numbers and a 9% surge in total wealth compared to the previous year. The assessment is based on wealth as of January 15th this year.
China remains the world's leader in billionaire density, with 814 individuals, despite the migration of 155 billionaires to other countries. The USA closely follows with 800 billionaires, having added 109 to its tally.
India emerges as a significant player in the billionaire landscape, adding 84 individuals to reach a total of 271 billionaires, nearly doubling the count of billionaires in the UK, which stands at 146.
The top 10 wealthiest individuals globally amassed $426 billion, representing 56% of the total new wealth. Eight of them are notable US citizens, with Elon Musk reclaiming the top spot with $231 billion thanks to Tesla's rising stock value.
Hurun, established in the UK in 1999, aims to promote entrepreneurship through its research and media initiatives.
