Brazil Secures Hosting Rights for COP30 in 2025
The oil-rich nation of Azerbaijan will host the COP29 climate conference in 2024.

Delegates have formally awarded the hosting rights for the United Nations Climate Conference in 2025 to Brazil, according to an announcement.[1]
Belém do Pará, a city nestled in the heart of the Amazon, will serve as the backdrop for the COP30 scheduled to take place from November 10th to 21st of 2025.
This marks the first time that the sprawling Amazon ecosystem, recognized as a critical asset in the fight against climate change, will play host to COP30 of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The oil-rich nation of Azerbaijan will host the COP29 climate conference in 2024 after Eastern European nations broke a political impasse on December 9th.
