Egyptian-based tech startup OneOrder has announced the closure of a $16 million Series A funding round. Spearheaded by Delivery Hero Ventures, the round saw participation from Norrsken22, alongside existing investors Nclude and A15.[1]

Founded in 2022 by Tamer Amer and Karim Maurice, OneOrder is a player in the hotel, restaurant, and catering (HoReCa) industries in Egypt. Leveraging its web-based platform and mobile application, the company offers a comprehensive solution encompassing personalized virtual warehousing, online ordering, delivery of over 700 stock-keeping units (SKUs), and analytics tools.

The latest funding infusion will fuel OneOrder's expansion plans into the GCC market, with the UAE earmarked as the initial launchpad by autumn 2024.

This round follows the company's $1 pre-seed round and a $3 million Seed round in February and December 2022, respectively.

OneOrder's platform integrates with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and point-of-sale (POS) systems, while also offering financing solutions to its clientele.

Notably, the company has collaborated with Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB) to introduce variable payments via direct debit.
