Grubtech Secures $15 Million in Series B Funding
The company intends to utilize the funding to accelerate its geographic expansion and establish offices in Saudi Arabia, Europe, and the UK.
UAE-based foodtech startup GrubTech has raised $15 million in series B and series A extension rounds.[1]
The series B funding was spearheaded by Jahez Group's VC arm, with additional contributions from existing investors Addition and Oryx Fund, the MENA-dedicated fund of Hambro Perks.
In 2021, Grubtech secured $13 million in series A investment led by Addition, alongside BY Ventures and Hambro Perks Oryx Fund.[2]
GrubTech, which was founded in 2019 by Mohamed Al Fayed, Omar Rifai, and Mohamed Hamedi, offers cloud kitchens and restaurants software solutions for back-of-house operations, in-kitchen operations, online presence, and on-premise technologies like omnichannel point-of-sale integrations.
With a customer base spanning 18 markets, Grubtech has expanded its reach beyond F&B to encompass other quick commerce categories such as groceries and pharmacies.
