Hub71 Welcomes 21 Startups in Latest Cohort
These startups, which collectively raised $134.9 million in funding, will participate in Hub71’s Access program.
Hub71, Abu Dhabi's global tech ecosystem, has added 21 startups to its roster through Cohort 15, bringing the total number of ventures it supports to 243. These startups, which collectively raised $134.9 million in funding, will participate in Hub71’s Access program and specialized ecosystems, Hub71+ Digital Assets and Hub71+ climatetech.[1]
Cohort 15 was selected from over 1,228 applicants, with 17 startups hailing from international markets, including the US, UK, France, and Germany. Notable entrants include EpiBone, a US-based healthtech firm with $43 million in funding, and Partanna Oasis, a carbon-negative concrete company co-founded by NBA legend Rick Fox, which raised $26 million. UK-based Greengage, focused on Web3 FinTech solutions, has secured $10 million and will join the Hub71+ Digital Assets ecosystem.
The selected startups operate in seven sectors, including FinTech, climatetech, healthtech, Edtech, and mobility and logistics, contributing to Abu Dhabi's economic diversification. Autone, a US-based AI-driven logistics firm, has raised $4.8 million and will provide real-time data solutions to enterprises.
Seven of the startups will join Hub71+ climatetech, boosting the ecosystem to 12 companies focused on sustainability. French startup Plenesys, specializing in clean hydrogen production, has secured $3 million in funding. Additionally, five startups, including Norway’s Gateway.fm, which raised $6 million, will join Hub71+ Digital Assets, bringing the total in that ecosystem to 22.
These startups will gain access to a network of mentors, partners, and investors, as well as in-kind incentives and cash support of up to AED 250,000 ($68,065), with additional funding opportunities available for high-performing ventures.
