MENA Insurtech Competition 2024 Accepting Submissions

The competition is held in five countries across the MENA region, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Egypt.

The 2024 edition of the Middle East (MENA) Insurtech Summit will receive applications until 15 January.


The competition will convene from 11-13 May, 2024.

MENA Insurtech Association offers three kinds of awards: MENA Insurtech Launchpad, MENA Insurtech Competition, and MENA Insurtech Connect.[1]

The goal of next year's competition is to set the pace for a fresh wave of innovation that will transform the way insurance is viewed, provided, and tailored to the changing needs of the MENA area.

The 2023 edition ran from 20-22 May and featured international and regional speakers from across the spectrum of the insurance, technology, and financial industries from 40 countries, with the participation of 500 startups. Winners included Farah Dehmouni, CEO of IAMENO, Mohamed Amine Belarbi, founder and CEO of Cypherleak, and Khalid Alkhodhairi, founder of Mismar, as well as Sivakumar Thanagaratnavelu, founder and CEO of Symplfy and Nikhil Babariya, co-founder and CEO of Monak.[2]

The MENA Insurtech Association launched the competition in 2023 to encourage entrepreneurship and innovation in the insurance sector in the MENA region. The competition is held in five countries across the MENA region, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, and Egypt.
