LBS MENA Startup Competition 2024: Call for Entries Opens
On September 19, the top teams will be shortlisted.
London Business School (LBS) is inviting entrepreneurs from the MENA region to participate in the LBS MENA Startup Competition 2024. The competition welcomes startups that utilize new technologies and provide sustainable solutions aligned with regional economic drivers.
Applicants are encouraged to submit their entries for the third annual MENA Startup Competition. Following the success of the previous two years, LBS aims to extend its support beyond its London-based Incubator program to foster innovation across the MENA region.
The competition offers winning startups access to education, training, and mentoring and serves as a prominent platform for entrepreneurs to connect with local venture capitalists and investors. Last year’s winner, The Surpluss, a B2B platform for industrial asset exchange, received $80,000 in support. Runners-up included Cairo-based fintech company Zeal and UAE-based retail ERP system provider Hulexo.
In the inaugural 2022 competition, Turkish startup Ollang, specializing in AI localization, won a cash prize of $15,000.
Entrepreneurs based in or operating within the MENA region are eligible to participate. Applicants should have a solid Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and/or have completed a pre-seed or Seed round. Additionally, they should have achieved initial traction, such as revenue or a substantial number of subscribers/users.
On September 19, the top teams will be shortlisted. Mentorship sessions will take place in September or October, followed by virtual semi-finals on October 7. The final Pitch Competition will be held in Dubai, UAE, in November.
Entrepreneurs are encouraged to submit their entries by September 14th, 2024. For more information or to apply, visit the competition page or email [email protected].
