Pyypl Secures Visa Principal Licence

Pyypl, a fintech company in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has announced its Principal Membership and strategic framework agreement with Visa. This partnership allows Pyypl to directly issue prepaid Visa cards from its UAE headquarters for accelerated international expansion across the GCC and Africa, as per an emailed press release to Inc. Arabia.
The Principal Licence Membership with Visa helps Pyypl to issue both virtual and physical prepaid Visa cards through its mobile application.
Pyypl, established in the UAE in 2017 by Antti Arponen, is operational in multiple markets across Africa and the GCC. The company’s app offers internationally accepted virtual and physical prepaid cards, instant domestic and international transfers, and remittances to 80 countries. Users can also transfer money to over 45 countries via the Pyypl app which has now over 1 million users.

A few months later, the UAE-based fintech garnered $20 million from its series B funding round from a group of international investors and ten of its existing investors. This round brought Pyypl’s total investment raised to $40 million.[2]
The latest Robert Walters salary guide for Asia Pacific revealed that Qatar, and Kuwait secure top positions in Asia for their generous average salaries. With an average salary of $51,390, the UAE takes second place, closely followed by Qatar with $50,868, and Kuwait with $49,640.
Singapore, renowned for its business ecosystem, claims the top spot with an average salary of $51,921. The city-state continues to attract talent from neighboring countries, reflecting its status as a premier employment destination in the region.
