ZSystems, a Morocco-based retail B2B2C marketplace, has secured US$1.65 million in a seed funding round led by Azur Innovation Management, a Casablanca-based venture capital (VC) firm.

The round also saw follow-on participation from existing investors MNF Ventures, a Morocco-based early-stage investment firm, and Witamax, a Morocco-based tech-focused investor, as well as new backing from the US-domiciled pan-Africa investment fund Harambeans Prosperity Fund, marking the startup's first international institutional investment.

Co-founded by Samer Choumar, Meriem Benabad, Youssef Haddouch, Reda Nebri, and Youssef Drafate in 2022, ZSystems is developing a unified digital platform that connects brands, wholesalers, and retailers. The company is targeting a $40 billion market that remains largely undigitized, aiming to improve transparency, streamline operations, and unlock growth opportunities across the retail value chain.

The newly raised capital will be deployed to advance product development, expand the platform’s capabilities, and accelerate market penetration, as ZSystems works to modernize B2B commerce across the region.

With this latest round, ZSystems has now raised a total of US$2.7 million, following an $1.05 million pre-seed investment in 2024 from MNF Ventures, Witamax, CASHPLUS Ventures, and Kalys Ventures.

Beyond funding, ZSystems benefits from the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Star Venture program and Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provide the startup with infrastructure and tools to scale its operations.
