Saudi Arabia-based edtech iStoria has raised $1.3 million in a Seed round from Nama Ventures, Classera, Flat6Labs, BIM Ventures, and several other angel investors.
iStoria will use the new capital to enhance its platform, accelerate innovation, and expand its reach to learners worldwide.
The platform has a user base exceeding one million learners, iStoria has good learner reviews online rating on the App Store rating of 4.6 out of 5. The application has partnerships with private and government schools. These collaborations have enabled schools to incorporate iStoria into their curriculum, facilitating English language development for students and offering direct supervision.
iStoria, a Saudi-based initiative in partnership with Oxford, to teach students English language education. It emphasizes vocabulary-building through graded-reader stories tailored for learners of all levels, accompanied by comprehension questions and rigorous tests to master vocabulary. The app provides learning methods to ensure students grasp the English language and also qualifies them to be able to take international language tests before university.
With the infusion of capital, iStoria is set to further enhance its English language learning platform, accelerating innovation and expanding its reach to learners worldwide. This recent investment marks a significant milestone in establishing iStoria as prominent in the field of English language education, delivering even greater value to its users.
Launched in 2022 by education experts Abdullah Al-Jaberi, Faisal Al-Hamoud, Abdel Nasser Al-Wali, Ismail Ashour, and Khaled Al-Rashed, iStoria is a specialized application for teaching the English language in partnership with Oxford.
