UAE-based edtech Thiqa Tutoring raised $300,000 in investment during the latest episode of the Beban TV show.[1]
The investment comes as part of a co-investment initiative led by Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund. Alongside Hope Ventures, private sector investors including Mashael Fairooz, founder of JEO Capital, and angel investor Lamya Mahmood, CEO of Lamya Group, joined forces to support Thiqa Tutoring's vision.
Thiqa Tutoring was founded in 2022 by Hamdan Karmustaji and Omar Bakri.
The firm's investment is expected to fuel its expansion efforts, leveraging its network of private and public partners to tap into new markets.
Filmed at the state-of-the-art Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), Beban season 3 has brought together 41 businesses from the MENA region, offering them a platform to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors.
