Hope Ventures Invests $500,000 in Omani Startup Innotech

Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund and the producer of the Beban TV show, co-invested $500,000 in Omani startup Innotech during the third episode of Beban Season 3. 

Innotech, the featured Omani startup, specializes in automating the construction process using additive manufacturing. 

This co-investment involved private sector investors Areej Mohsen Darwish and Lamya Mahmood. The episode aired on the region’s prominent video-on-demand platform ‘Shahid’ and other major TV channels.

Innotech, the Omani startup featured in the episode, focuses on automating the construction process through additive manufacturing to reduce costs, accelerate timelines, and decrease carbon emissions in the construction industry. Innotech is founded by entrepreneur Othman Al Mandhari. 

Beban is an entrepreneurship-themed reality TV show produced by Hope Ventures, the investment arm of Hope Fund, where entrepreneurs pitch their promising businesses to a panel of regional investors for immediate investment and strategic business development opportunities that accelerate their growth into new markets.

Beban is a Bahraini private-public investment platform backed by Hope Ventures, with partnerships with the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (UAE), the SME Development Authority (Oman), GFH Capital (KSA), Zain Kuwait, and the Sabah Al Ahmad Centre for Giftedness and Creativity (Kuwait), and the Labour Fund Tamkeen (Bahrain).

Beban season 3 was filmed in the Middle East’s newest exhibition and convention center, Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), and showcases 41 businesses from across the MENA region as they pitch in front of a panel of regional, investors for equity investment and strategic business development opportunities that can accelerate the growth of these businesses into new markets.

A new episode of Beban airs every Wednesday of this month on several TV channels and is uploaded on the Shahid platform for free.
