Sawari Ventures Seeks to Invest $150 Million in Startups

Sawari Ventures, a venture capital company based in Egypt, is gearing up to launch a new fund earmarked for investing approximately $150 million in Egyptian startups, as revealed by the firm's CEO and co-founder, Hany Al-Sonbaty, in an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya Business.[1]
Al-Sonbaty disclosed that the company's investment strategy will encompass various sectors, with a particular focus on fintech, educational technology, and healthcare technology. Additionally, Sawari Ventures aims to channel investments into green technology and deep technology projects, anticipating substantial growth opportunities within these burgeoning sectors.
Al-Sonbaty projected that the targeted startups will attract investments ranging between $350 million and $500 million over the next five years.
