Moroccan public financing institution Tamwilcom has launched a US$69 million Startup Venture Building program that aims to support 800 startups over the next three years.

The program, which has been built around a structured venture building approach, will see its participants receive financial support in the form of monthly stipends for founders, access to prototype development funding, as well as financing tools including loans of up to MAD2 million.

Founders will also receive hands-on operational guidance across the full startup lifecycle, with one of the program’s key efforts centered on connecting them with established corporates to enable commercial partnerships and accelerate revenue generation.

In addition, startups in the initiative benefit from a support ecosystem built through the entities that Tamwilcom has brought in as partners, which include both local and international names like Technopark, CEED Maroc, Flat6Labs, and 500 Global.

A statement on the new program described it as a reflection of “Morocco’s broader strategy to strengthen its startup infrastructure, build a scalable pipeline of high-growth companies, and position the country as a leading innovation hub in Africa.”
