Qatar Development Bank (QDB) has unveiled the Startup Qatar Investment Program, aimed at attracting tech startups to establish or expand their presence in Qatar through funding support.[1]

Launched as part of Startup Qatar, a newly introduced platform by the Investment Promotion Agency within the Qatar Web Summit 2024 framework, the program offers financial backing of up to $500,000 for startups entering the Qatari market. Additionally, established global startups seeking growth opportunities in Qatar can access funding of up to $5 million.

Beyond financial assistance, the program is designed to catalyze technology adoption across various sectors, including education, finance, sports, agriculture, healthcare, and real estate. It aims to drive progress in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), and big data.

The Startup Qatar Investment Program provides comprehensive facilitation support, including market entry assistance, specialized training, and technical guidance, to empower startups to navigate new markets.
