EdVentures, the venture capital arm of Nahdet Misr Group, has expanded its portfolio by selecting eight new EdTech startups for funding and support. This decision follows a thorough evaluation of entrepreneurs who participated in EdVentures' recent business accelerator program.[1]

With these new additions, EdVentures now has a total portfolio of 22 companies, up from its previous 14 investments.

The selected startups offer solutions designed to integrate technology into education. These include:

  • Elkheta: A platform providing tutoring lessons based on Egypt’s new curriculum to help students improve academically.
  • Saikoro: Converts traditional educational content into digital formats and interactive games.
  • The Copywriter: Helps young people develop professional skills through career guidance in creativity and writing.
  • Techy App: Focused on teaching STEM subjects through an electronic platform combined with a physical school, offering hands-on learning.
  • SchoolZ: A transportation system designed for school students, ensuring safe and convenient commutes.
  • ArmStrong: Offers STEM courses that connect school curricula with practical applications, available in Arabic and English.
  • Tutoro: A platform connecting students with teachers for in-person lessons, with plans to integrate AI-powered assistance.
  • InvestED: Links companies with schools to help students in need by facilitating fundraising for their education.

Additionally, EdVentures has been chosen by the Ministry of Communications to manage Egypt’s digital innovation hubs, starting with the Creativa hub in Sohag Governorate.

Since its establishment in 2017, EdVentures has supported startups in the EdTech sector through incubation, acceleration, and investment programs across the MENA region.
