Edtech OBM Education Raises 6-Figure Funding Round
Egyptian Education Startup to Expand in Saudi Arabia
Egypt-based Edtech platform OBM Education announced that it has finalized a six-figure funding round from Value Maker Studio (VMS).
The investment will be utilized to enhance OBM's footprint in Saudi Arabia.
Omar El-Barbary and Ezz El-Din Farag founded OBM in 2020 to help pre-university students choose their college majors and provide them with access to career advice and training programs.
“Investment is more than capital – it embodies shared visions and unyielding commitment. With VMS, we’re solidifying our resolve to enrich the educational journey of every student,” said El-Barbary in a company statment.
With its student tailored content, accurate assessments, OBM Education's Taleb Super App specialises in education for high school students throughout the Middle East and North Africa, cementing its position as a major player in the field.
As part of the partnership, VMS will provide startups, including OBM Education, with extensive resources including funding, tech services, legal counsel, financial management, and HR expertise through its upcoming "Bridge Program," which is scheduled to launch in January 2024.
