Algerian edtech LabLabee has secured $3.4 million in seed funding to support the adoption of 5G, cloud, and AI technologies in the telecommunications and industrial sectors.[1]
The investment round was led by Reach Capital, with contributions from Classera and existing investors Brighteye Ventures and e& capital, alongside business angels Cedric Sellin and Mohammed Husamaddin.
Founded in 2021 by Samir Tahraoui and Mahfoud Sidi Ali Mebarek, LabLabee aims to expand its presence in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions and enter the US market through partnerships with major cloud providers like AWS, Azure, and GCP. LabLabee plans to use the funds to develop new hands-on training labs for VMware, Redhat, and Windriver, and to increase its workforce by hiring specialists in engineering, sales, and customer support.
LabLabee’s platform offers a sandbox environment where users can learn, practice, and test within a single system.
The startup also plans to add more courses on topics such as telco security, AI applications in telecommunications, and edge computing, addressing the skills gap in cloud-native technologies for telecom operators.
The company collaborates with telecom operators, vendors, and educational institutions to integrate practical exercises into training programs, making skill development more accessible.
