Saudi Arabia's COGNNA Closes $2.25 Million Seed Round
COGNNA participated in Saudi Arabia's National Cybersecurity Authority's Cybersecurity Accelerator Program in August 2022.
Saudi Arabia-based COGNNA, a cyber-threat detection and response platform, has successfully wrapped up a seed investment round of over $2.25 million. The round was led by IMPACT46, with participation from Vision Ventures, and Faith Capital, among other investors, they company said in a press release.
COGNNA develops cybersecurity solutions that are tailored to MENA, which detect and respond to threats while observing global and regional regulations and standards using AI and advanced data analysis. Co-founded in 2022 by Ibrahim Alshamrani and Ziyad Alshehri, COGNNA participated in Saudi Arabia's National Cybersecurity Authority's Cybersecurity Accelerator Program in August 2022.
Impact46 is a Riyadh-based VC that focuses on impact investment. Vision Ventures is a Saudi-based, sector-agnostic VC that invests in early-stage startups. Faith Capital Holding is a Kuwait-based VC that invests mainly in e-commerce regionally and internationally.
Earlier this month, Dubai-based cybersecurity company spiderSilk raised $9 million to fuel its expansion into Saudi Arabia.
