Kemitt, Egypt's e-commerce marketplace for furniture and home accessories, is expanding into the Saudi Arabian market. This move is supported by a recent undisclosed funding round.[1]

Since its launch in 2017 by Mahmoud Fouad and Mohamed Hedayat, Kemitt has offered over 100,000 stock-keeping units (SKUs) through a multi-vendor marketplace. The platform provides customers with a variety of furniture and home accessories, and its on-demand manufacturing capability ensures orders are delivered within seven to 12 days.

The new funding will be used to improve the platform’s technology by enhancing the user interface and backend systems. Kemitt will also expand its operations by scaling logistics and customer service to meet the demands of the Saudi market. Additionally, the company plans to increase its product range to cater to diverse consumer preferences in Saudi Arabia and establish local partnerships with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure quality and competitive pricing.

To mark this expansion, Kemitt has launched a dedicated website for Saudi Arabia, offering over 25,000 SKUs. This catalog provides Saudi customers with a variety of choices to suit different tastes and needs.
